風 呂 敷 here are the characters of the Japanese writing (kanji) to say Furoshiki. “But what is he talking about?” He talked about an ancestral technique of folding, knotting or rather wrapping in fabric. He’s talking about a brand created by Aurélie Le Marec: L’atelier du Furoshiki

Furoshiki is an ecological alternative to single-use plastic bags and paper packaging. A square of fabric and a few well-placed bows are enough to create bags of all kinds (tote bag, handbag, backpack, etc.) as well as modular and reusable gift packaging. Created in 2009 by Aurélie Le Marec, L’Atelier du Furoshiki offers furoshiki, hemmed squares of all sizes, in Japanese fabric or reused fabric, and runs introductory workshops in this playful and aesthetic technique.
