There are different worlds in fashion and today we will be traveling between France and Burkina Faso.

The GX226 house is the story of two brothers, Georges and Xavier. The 226 is the code for the telephone in Burkina Faso.

This brand created in 2010 has become a reference in “the land of upright men” (literal translation from Burkina Faso).

The aim of the brand is to promote the Faso Dan Fani, which is a loincloth hand-woven by the women of Burkina Faso.

The designers are inspired, they develop models of suits, shirts and dresses as well as suits for women.

This love of the Burkinabè loincloth was, according to George, inspired by the Malian designer, Chris Seydou, who made the bogolan known to the whole world.

The fashion house has been based in Paris today for around forty years. Parades take place in the French capital as well as in Bordeaux, Lille to highlight the faso danfani.

The success of GX 226 is in the quality of the clothing. To achieve this level of execution, George trained in France where he worked with the world’s fashion elite.

This fan of the German designer, Karl Lagerfeld, later shared his knowledge with his brother Xavier, who manages the brand in Burkina Faso.

Faced with increasing demand, GX226 will soon open a store in the city center, to the delight of Burkinabés.
